A conversation with Carly F. Gammill, Director of Legal Policy & Litigation, StandWithUs Saidoff Law
Carly F. Gammill is the Founding Director of the StandWithUs Center for Combating Antisemitism and currently serves as Director of Legal Policy & Litigation for StandWithUs Saidoff Law. Carly is a seasoned constitutional litigator with extensive experience handling matters involving free speech, religious liberties, and other civil rights. She has assisted an array of clients in vindicating their legal interests, including students and professors, nonprofit organizations, and private citizens seeking access to public forums.
In her legal work, Carly has been active in fighting antisemitism on campuses, in court, and at the United Nations. She regularly works with students, professors, and members of the broader community to educate about contemporary forms of antisemitism, inform them about their legal rights, and ensure they are best positioned to protect those rights. A large part of her work focuses on educating those in decision and policymaking positions, as well as corporate groups, about Jewish identity and antisemitism. She has provided trainings for a wide range of corporations, including multiple Fortune 500 companies, as well as administrators and law enforcement on campuses across the U.S.
Her passion for this work, especially on school campuses, derives in part from her background in the educational field. Before beginning her legal career, Carly taught high school English and American history, seeing firsthand the crucial need for students to learn not only the facts that make up history but also the invaluable lessons that history can offer in the present to help ensure a future where the mistakes of our past are not repeated.
