 ABOUT THE SPEAKERS

DORIAN KARP, MPA Director of Policy and Advocacy, Jewish Women International

Dorian Karp, MPA, currently serves as the director of policy and advocacy at Jewish Women International, where her work centers around ending gender-based violence and gun violence prevention. Dorian holds a leadership position on the National Task Force to End Sexual and Domestic Violence, co-chairs Faiths United to Prevent Gun Violence, leads the Jewish Gun Violence Prevention Roundtable, is a member of the Center for American Progress's Executive Steering Committee for the 2022 Gun Violence Prevention Conference, and is an inaugural member of Everytown for Gun Safety’s Interfaith Advisory Council. Before moving to the D.C. metro area, she spent nearly a decade working in state government, the nonprofit sector, and political campaigns. Dorian earned her master’s in public administration from the University of South Florida in 2016 and holds a B.A. from Barnard College at Columbia University.

AMANDA KATZ, MS Executive Director of The Greater Washington Jewish Coalition Against Domestic Abuse (JCADA)

Amanda Katz, MS, is the Executive Director of The Greater Washington Jewish Coalition Against Domestic Abuse (JCADA) an agency providing victim services and education about intimate partner violence. Before coming to JCADA, she spent 20 years working in local non-profits in the Greater Washington Area. Amanda holds a Master's of Science in Nonprofit Management & Jewish Communal Service from Gratz College, and a BA from The George Washington University.
