Please join the AAJLJ for an important program featuring two partners at Anderson Kill, LLP, Jerry Goldman and Bruce Strong, who have represented plaintiffs in terrorism cases for a combined 30+ years. Messrs. Goldman and Strong will provide insight into the multi-district litigation In Re Terrorist Attacks on September 11, 2001, covering many of the issues that confront attorneys who represent victims of international terrorism in the United States. They will discuss the legal issues raised in the pre-suit phase, drafting the pleadings (and service) and initial dispositive motions (failure to state a claim/lack of subject matter jurisdiction/lack of personal jurisdiction), along with a discussion of the principal causes of action, common (and unique) evidentiary issues, and questions of damages.
