setting a confirmation hearing date for Deborah Lipstadt’s appointment as 
U.S. Special Envoy to monitor and combat antisemitism, with the rank of
Ambassador. 

Professor Lipstadt's experience, expertise, passion and success in fighting
antisemitism make her the ideal individual to focus on this issue.  

Professor Lipstadt’s work has been broadly acclaimed, including her successful
legal battle against David Irving by appropriately characterizing his writing as
Holocaust denial. 

She has educated the public through her work and writing, including her 2019
book, “Antisemitism: Here and Now.”
