The Office of Special Counsel under Robert Mueller relied on the Foreign Agent Registration Act (FARA)—a law that previously had not garnered much attention—to bring about some of the most sensational charges of political corruption in contemporary times. FARA remains an enforcement priority for the United States Department of Justice and is the subject of numerous legislative proposals pending before Congress. As a result, individuals and companies engaged with foreign entities are concerned more than ever with ensuring compliance with the law. This webinar will provide an introduction to FARA and will address how and under what circumstances U.S. individuals or organizations working with Israel must register as foreign agents.
