Crimes against humanity and genocide - commonly called the crime of crimes - carry a special place in our legal consciousness and our public discourse. Since Nuremberg, countries have worked to prosecute these and other atrocity crimes. This talk will explore where courts get the right to judge such cases and recent developments including the arrests of genocide suspects Félicien Kabuga and Ali Kushayb and controversies involving the International Criminal Court.
