Join an AAJLJ Committee

AAJLJ members are encouraged to join one of the AAJLJ’s committees:

First Amendment/Religious Liberty Committee – Organizes programming related to First Amendment and religious liberty issues; assists with drafting amicus briefs to be filed on behalf of the AAJLJ in relevant cases.

American Domestic Legal Issues Committee – Organizes programming related to domestic legal issues such as health care, immigration, national security and civil rights, as viewed through the lens of Jewish values and tradition.

Committee to Combat Boycott, Divestment & Sanctions (BDS) and Anti-Semitism – Assists with legal efforts to combat anti-Semitism and the Boycott, Divestment & Sanctions movement. Provides pro-bono legal assistance to students who defend Israel on their campuses and elsewhere.

Israel and the Rule of Law Committee – Devises programming on legal issues related to the State of Israel, including “lawfare.”

Holocaust Issues Committee – Organizes educational programs related to the Holocaust.

National Jewish Law Student Association (NJLSA) Committee – Works with the AAJLJ’s student division to organize networking, mentoring and educational opportunities for AAJLJ law students and young professionals.
